• Assess the viability and the need for out-of school time options for chilren in your community.
• Start new after school programs or expand current programs.
• Improve programs through on-site assessment and evaluation.
• Develop program improvement plans.
• Enrich activities through curriculum assessment and development.
• Develop a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Provide mentorship and guidance through the National School-Age Care Alliance Program Improvement and Accreditation process.
• Link with local, regional, state and national efforts to improve the availability and quality of out-of-school time programs.
